New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider will be out indefinitely after being diagnosed with a blood clot in his right arm, the team announced.

Kreider suited up in Wednesday’s game versus the Washington Captials, but didn’t return after the first period.

A six-to-eight week recovery is the best case scenario, per Larry Brooks of the New York Post.

In 37 games this season, Krieder has recorded 22 points, while logging 15:34 per contest.
